What You Can Expect.
Below is a quick rundown of what you can expect as a new functional medicine patient with Nourish Mind & Body. Returning patients will simply schedule follow-up appointments through the patient portal. For more information on IV Therapy and its process, please see our IV Therapy page.

Crucial Intake Forms
As a first step, we strongly encourage each new patient to schedule an appointment through our online appointment scheduler. You will then receive a confirmation email with information on how to create a Nourish Mind & Body Patient Portal account. Within the portal, you will have access to electronically fill out all forms and consents. It is crucial to fill out the intake forms as soon as possible as it allows our providers time to go over your medical history prior to your initial consultation. This ensures maximum one-on-one time to further dig into your story and history.

Initial Patient Consultation
Based on your intake form, your provider will likely have further questions that will give them a more in-depth insight into your story. These answers and insights will help your provider determine the next steps in your journey. These recommendations will include tests that they feel will provide the most valuable information. These unique and in-depth diagnostic tests will help uncover your hidden health challenges.
These tests are recommended but are not required. They can quickly and easily add up in cost. An alternative to testing would be an in-depth nutrition/elimination plan. Elimination diets are a way to discover what your body might be sensitive or allergic to without diagnostic testing. This could be a great first step for those who are on a budget.
Initial consultations are $250 (promotional pricing through June 2023) and last 60 minutes. This will be paid directly to Nourish Mind & Body via cash, credit, debit, HSA (health savings account), or FSA (flexible spending account) at the time of the service.

Diagnostic Testing
If testing was chosen during your consultation, your tests will be ordered and shipped directly to your home. Some tests may be taken at home and sent back to the lab while others will require you to have blood drawn at a lab that is familiar with the test kit. Test results typically take 4-5 weeks, depending on the test. At this point, a follow-up appointment can be scheduled online through the appointment scheduler or your patient portal account approximately 6 weeks after your initial consultation.
If testing was not chosen, your provider will discuss a specific elimination diet based on your history and exam, provide you with specific details, and have you take notes of the changes you experience. At this point, a follow-up appointment can be scheduled online through the appointment scheduler or your patient portal account approximately 6 weeks after your initial consultation.
Depending on the lab, you may have the opportunity to submit the invoice to your personal insurance if you choose to do so.

Individualized Treatment Plan
At your follow-up appointment, you will discuss your test and/or elimination diet results with your provider. Based on your results, an individualized treatment plan will be created. This plan could include nutrition recommendations, exercise/movement, supplements, decreasing stress, and improving your environmental exposures. Each treatment plan is carefully created and monitored in order to continually help aid your body in functioning optimally.
Additional follow-up appointments may be required or requested on an as-needed basis. This will be discussed with your provider during your appointment.
Follow-up appointments are $150 and last 30 minutes. This will be paid directly to Nourish Mind & Body via cash, credit, debit, HSA (health savings account), or FSA (flexible spending account) at the time of the service.
